SDGI instructors develop personal relationships with their students, specializing in unique one on one instruction tailored to the individual player’s ability. All people have different capabilities and possibilities for their swings and thus need different instruction to help take their game to the next level. Golf is a game formed and reformed through habits and practice. Often these habits become distorted over time. SDGI instructors have experience with all abilities levels and age groups and know that it is more important to help a golfer achieve personal goals rather than attempt to force golfers to conform to a specific template.

SDGI arranges instruction in small groups. Allowing students the possibility to take lessons and practice under supervised conditions. This environment helps students to develop their skills at a measured pace without the intensity of a private lesson.

SDGI features an elite junior academy that is designed for experienced junior golfers who desire to play at a competitive level in school or in another structured golf program. The junior academy strives to create winning junior golfers by providing a learning experience unlike any other golf school, utilizing many of the same techniques as it does in its adult programs. Through the use of advanced video and three dimensional technology, structured practice sessions and fitness programs, students will have the necessary tools to raise their game to the next level. In addition students will be taught the necessity of mental strength and vision as a means of improving their focus both in their golf game and through the rest of their lives. SDGI students will come away from their learning experience with a variety of tools helpful for their growth as golfers and as capable individuals.

Monthly
Each student will be placed in a small group with other students of a similar ability level and given eight hours of formal instruction per month with an SDGI Instructor. Students will be evaluated technically and physically. At the beginning of each month SDGI instructors will reassess their students, analyzing their progress and changing their programs accordingly. Much of the responsibility for learning and practicing will be placed in the students own hands. SDGI hopes to provide the facilities and expertise for intense focused practice. Bi-Weekly Game Builder Sessions
Each week Students participate in two hour structured practice sessions designed to reinforce swing changes. The team environment creates a network of support and provides an easy route towards beneficial self-critique. These sessions are available on a sign-up basis to meet individual scheduling needs.
Camps
Over the summer and during vacation periods throughout the year, SDGI offers week long intensive golf camps. These camps include many of the aspects of the Junior Academy filtered into a more rigorous daily training program. The camps will include small student to teacher ratios, video and three dimensional instructions, short game building exercises, fitness assessments and customized workout schedules, and on course instruction. |

At SDGI, we will help you take your game to the next level. If you are motivated, ready to work hard, hoping to make your high school golf team or move up the ladder in tournament play, SDGI is the answer. Our Summer programs are golf intensive and designed to teach young golfers the skills needed to continually improve and become a more complete player.

Full Day Camps
This golf intensive week camp will come with 30 hours of golf instuction! The morning training sessions will include video swing analysis and skills demonstration. Follow by a complimentary lunch and then it is off the course to practice with on course playing instruction. Half Day Fitness and Short Game Camp
This fitness intensive week camp will come with 15 hours of golf instruction! The half day camp is designed to help introduce fitness into your golf training program. Our dedicated fitness instructors will illustrate specific golf workouts to help increase speed, flexibility and balance throughout the golf swing. Techniques learned on the range are only important if they can be realized on the course during actual game play. SDGI intends to improve its player’s performance on the course not on the range. SDGI Instructors help facilitate the transition between practice and course play by accompanying students on the course. Golf is never a game of perfect lies or measured distances. Instead it always involves transitions and flexibility. SDGI hopes to develop an organic growth for its players as they turn the skills that they learn in practice into reality on the golf course. The instructors also hope to lead by example by playing with their students, showing them when and where decision making is most important. Helping student’s shape their game to the course on which they play. Student’s abilities to make the right decision on the course are of utmost importance. Club selection and shot making often determine player’s scores. Choices that are not obvious become intuitive with the right information and framework. |

SDGI offers custom designed programs for players from all over the world that include a combination of on and off course instruction. SDGI schedules instruction and tee times to fit client’s needs and goals for their trip. It also arranges accommodation, dining and transportation, managing all aspects of both small scale vacations to large scale corporate events. Players traveling to San Diego will have the opportunity to visit the exciting parts of the region including: the world famous San Diego Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park, Sea World, Downtown Gas Lamp Quarter, San Diego Padres and Chargers (etc).
